How did I get here?

After 24 years developing inkjet printers for Hewlett-Packard, I took an early retirement package in 2007.  I joined HP just when inkjet was being commercialized and learned a lot about high volume product development and consumer electronics.

But retirement was not my speed, so within a few months I started this business.  At first, I was just happy to get work and was learning fast.  After about a year I joined Angie’s List and I love the customers that I earn there.  A couple of years later I decided to focus my business and training on Apple products because, well, I love them and I believe in them!

I bought my first Mac in 2006 while still at HP.  I wanted a real personal computer and that is what I got!  I now have several and virtually every consumer product Apple makes.  I know how to make them perform well for my customers!

I am certified by Apple as a Support Professional, which is a software/operating system certification.  My other Apple training (like for iPad, iPhone & AppleTV) is informal (see Links for some material I use) but intensive.  Nearly every day I read about, listen to podcasts or watch videos about Macs and Apple products.  I must say I have become quite proficient in setting them up, making Apple devices work with each other (which they can do so well) and repairing their infrequent issues.

Contact me, I’d love to work with you and your home technology.
